Knowing and doing are not the same thing

Many of the women I work with KNOW what they need to do but often don’t DO what they need to do.

There’s a difference between knowing and doing.

They are different things.

Such as you:

KNOW you need to eat well and move to feel physically healthy, but you DON’T.

KNOW what you need to do to apply for that job or promotion, but you DON’T.

KNOW what you need to do to make your day easier, but you DON’T.

KNOW what you need to do to build your business, but you DON’T.

KNOW you need to set boundaries with a person, but you DON’T.

KNOW you need to organise help and support, but you DON’T.

KNOW you need to do put your phone away, but you DON’T.

You know, but you get lost on the implementation of it.

I covered this a bit in last week’s newsletter in terms of ‘burdened’ parts or looking at it from an emotional blocks point of view.

And it’s here that many people get stuck.

You might have come to many of the sessions I’ve run over the last couple of years, but you’re still stuck.

You may have read all the books, but you’re still stuck.

You may have listened to 5 million hours of podcasts, but you’re still stuck.

And it’s because the parts of you that get burdened like to stay in protection mode.

Those parts like everything to be the same as it’s safer and less scarier that way – EVEN IF IT’S NOT HELPFUL.

The work I do with my clients is get them moving into DOING so they KNOW and then I help them DO.

If you’ve been struggling with this, then now is a great opportunity to get the help you deserve.

If you’d like help and want my help – book in a free call here.

Much love, Tricia xxx

The unspoken rules that cause distress

"When do you not need to invite the whole class to a party?" This was a question another mum asked me on Sunday at a kids birthday party. It made me realise that there’s so many ‘unspoken’ rules in life. Yet it’s these unspoken rules that are the ones that cause us so...

Do you avoid the mouldy apples?

Do you avoid the mouldy apples?

When I was young an apple got lost in my school bag.  I can remember it well as every time I opened my bag there was this awful smell. I couldn’t face to look at it. I can STILL smell it now almost 40 years on.   It eventually covered my jotters, textbooks and gym...
