Tired & wired?

I’ve had loads of clients and friends saying they feel a bit ‘tired & wired’ and all over the place.

Personally, I’ve had a good period of sleep until the weekend when, for literally no reason, I woke up at 3am and struggled to get back to sleep.  The same thing happened on Monday night.

Yet, I wasn’t lying awake at night churning thoughts.

I was just awake.

I asked on instagram and there was a resounding ‘me too’.

Anyhow, last night, I was thinking to myself – Tricia you are bloody skilled at this sort of thing – what would your advice be to someone else.

And my advice would be to tap or say out loud the intention to prime the subconscious. It takes a bit of work…. not hard work just you actually need to do it….

My intention is to go to sleep at 10ish and wake up at 6ish.

Now, one of my sons didn’t play ball and I was still settling him after 10pm and my husband was coming back from London so I was keeping a half eye on the flight arrivals.

I did however, fall asleep before my husband came home at 11pm – I didn’t even notice him and then… I slept until 5.30am when the light woke me.

Now, I’m not going to tell you anything about moons, energy, summer solstice or any other reason why possibly we’re all struggling with sleep.

Yet, if you follow any sort of cyclical living – we’re in the midst of summer so of course we need LESS sleep than we do on the shortest day of the year – maybe we don’t need 8 hours sleep this week because it’s so blooming light. When we didn’t have “time” we would have had NO idea how many hours we ACTUALLY slept (so just remember that).

However, 5/6 hours sleep isn’t cutting it for me.

So last night – here’s what I did.

I spoke out loud and integrated EFT (you don’t need to integrate EFT if you don’t know it – speaking out loud will work just fine) to PRIME my subconscious about what it was going to do.

I said MULTIPLE times over the evening – when I was walking round the house tidying up, when I was sitting in the car park waiting for my son to finish his class, when I was putting my other son to bed, as I was going off to sleep…. I did this so many times in the evening….

“Even though I’ve been struggling to stay asleep during the night for whatever reason….

  • I’m open to the possibility of going to bed at normal time and sleeping until 6am
  • I am open to sleeping from normal time until 6am
  • I am open to having a deep and restful sleep
  • I will go to bed at normal time and sleep until 6am
  • I will sleep from the normal time until 6am
  • I will have a deep and restful sleep”

Here’s why.

You need to set the intention and connect with the subconscious. You also need to slowly let it sink it “open to the possibility” to “I will”.

Your brain is powerful, but you need to tell it what you want.

You need to SPEAK IT OUT LOUD – if you don’t – this will not work.

I find tapping/EFT makes it more powerful because that’s what I’m familiar with but you don’t need to do this.

Let me know if you try it and how you get on.

Sleep and cyclical living are both part of my Calm Foundations. You can access this course here for £27.

Much love, Tricia xxxx

The biggest waste of everything is worry

I was in a session with a client today and one of the emotions that came up was worry. A lot of the time, we worry about things. Often worry is used by the subconscious as a way to control the outcome.  Yet worrying is the most futile emotion. It is a TOTAL WASTE of...
