Private & Small Group Sessions

Yoga, just for you — or your group

Available in Penicuik, Midlothian and Edinburgh

Sometimes a full class isn’t what you need — you want space that’s entirely your own, shared with people you already know, or built into the weekly rhythm of your community.

I offer private one-to-one sessions, small group bookings, and regular chair yoga for residential and care settings — built around what the people in front of me actually need.

Options include:

  • 1:1 sessions — fully tailored, in person or online – these are ideal if you would like individualised sessions (ie you want help with your technique), have specific needs (ie recovering from surgery, medical issue, pain) or at a day and time that suits you
  • Small group bookings — friends, family, a celebration, a retreat-at-home – such a great way to spend time together doing something that supports you all fully – these can be restorative/yin session
  • Chair/gentle yoga for residential & care homes — weekly or regular sessions, gentle and fully seated, no floor work required – ideal if you have a group of people who would like to keep active and move their bodies in a safe and supported way
  • Daytime availability — sessions during the working day

Tricia Murray Anxiety Coach

Chair yoga for residential and care settings

I currently run a weekly chair yoga class for an older-adult residential unit, and it’s become one of the most rewarding parts of my week. Every movement is adapted, fully seated, and paced for comfort — no one needs any prior experience or a particular level of mobility.  This has been organised by the residents themselves.

Residents get gentle movement, better circulation, breathing exercises and a real sense of connection — it brings the residents together during the week and I leave them all chatting and catching up. Sessions run weekly and fit easily around schedule.

If you run a care home, sheltered housing scheme, or residential unit, I’d love to talk about bringing chair yoga to your residents.

What students say about yoga classes with Tricia:

Whilst searching for a Chair Yoga coach on the interest I was very impressed by Tricia’s website and after speaking to her I knew she was just the person we required.  I live in a development for over 55yrs and have many residents well over that age who are keen to still keep their bodies active and chair yoga is perfect. Tricia is extremely pleasant, professional, and very easy to get along with. She is open to any suggestions we have and is more than willing to give some advice on any of the exercises or difficulties which occur as we get older. I can’t recommend Tricia high enough in what is always a fun, practical and remedial three quarters of an hour.
